In 1998, Buddy Guindon, his wife Katie, and his brother Kenny opened Katie’s Seafood Market in Galveston, Texas. For more than 20 years now, Katie’s Seafood Market has provided the highest quality of product available to their customers. The majority of seafood comes from local fisherman and shrimpers, including Red Snapper, Grouper, Golden Tile Fish, Flounder, Oysters, Shrimp, and Blue Crabs. A producer contacted Guindon in the hopes of doing a reality show about his family business. In 2015, the reality show ‘Big Fish Texas’ came to life on National Geographic network.
